Job Overview As a Part-Time Payroll Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing payroll and bookkeeping tasks for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for clients on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes and reports. Maintain payroll records, including employee information and changes, and reconcile payroll accounts. Prepare financial reports as needed, and assist with general bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling bank accounts and managing accounts payable/receivable. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and respond to client inquiries regarding payroll issues. Provide support to clients and team members as needed, and maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven experience as a Payroll Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and relevant tax laws. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members. High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, with a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications: We prefer candidates with: Experience with bookkeeping and payroll , as well as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification. Experience working with multiple clients or in an accounting firm setting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
