Virtual Part-Time Teachers

The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) invites you to apply to be a part of SYNERGY Virtual School. This new school is a 100% virtual opportunity to earn both a NY State High School diploma and potentially, an associate degree from Cayuga Community College. CiTi is seeking individuals to teach part-time who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students. Candidates must have instructional technology skills, be well versed in virtual learning or have an aptitude for virtual learning and be a quick learner. Classes will be taught in a synchronous interactive videoconferencing environment while using a learning management system. Teachers will be expected to teach live virtual interactive videoconferencing classes and create a strong online presence. Live classes are 80 minutes every other day between 8:30-3:00. CiTi is currently accepting applications for the following part-time positions: • Art • Computer Science • Business and Marketing • FACS • Technology Education • Special Education • Science • Spanish • Health Job Qualifications • New York State Teaching Certificate • Instructional technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms • Ability to think fluidly in a virtual work environment • Creativity and innovation in teaching approaches • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Availability between 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM • Dual certification in other areas is a plus. • Instructional technology skills are a must. $4,000 stipend per class per semester.
