This is a 1099 independent contractor role, providing virtual instruction and support to K-12 students residing in Vermont. The ideal candidate is experienced, tech-savvy, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with exceptional needs. Responsibilities • Requirements • Active Vermont Special Education Teaching License (required) • Minimum 1 year of experience working in special education (remote experience is a plus) • Familiarity with IEP writing, compliance, and progress monitoring • Comfortable using virtual learning tools and platforms • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently Responsibilities • Provide virtual instruction and case management to students with IEPs. • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines. • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families. • Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and communication logs. • Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions.
