Volunteer Grant & Funding Development Writer Remote (United States Only) | Volunteer | Part-Time | Grant Writing Experience Required Join Boots to Health Foundation Boots to Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Veterans through wellness, fitness, and community-based programs. Our mission is to empower Veterans as they transition into civilian life by providing resources that promote long-term health, resilience, and meaningful connections. We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant & Funding Development Writer to help secure funding that expands our impact. Applicants must have prior grant writing experience. This requirement is essential for the role. This is a fully remote, unpaid volunteer opportunity available only to individuals currently residing in the United States. Key Responsibilities • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. • Evaluate funding guidelines and organizational eligibility. • Develop persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, narratives, budgets, and supporting documents. • Edit and finalize submissions to ensure they meet all application requirements. • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, reporting obligations, and submission schedules. • Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and supporting documentation. • Assist with other funding development initiatives as needed. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet all of the following requirements: • Current graduate student or graduate in Public Health or a closely related field. • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. • Required: Previous grant writing experience preparing and submitting grant proposals. • Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage deadlines while working independently in a remote environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Eligibility • Applicants must be physically located within the United States. • Applications from individuals residing outside the U.S. will not be considered. • Availability during Eastern Time business hours is preferred. Time Commitment • Approximately 2–4 hours per week. • Flexible scheduling.
