About the Role As a Warehouse Forklift Operator - Shipping and Operations Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our shipping and operations team. You'll be responsible for efficiently and safely operating a forklift, loading and unloading materials, and providing additional assistance in other areas of the warehouse as needed. You'll also serve as the final quality control associate for our finished products, ensuring that our high standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operations: Operate a forklift efficiently and safely in daily tasks, including loading and unloading materials, staging and distributing materials in the work area, and performing cycle counting of raw and finished materials. Warehouse Processes: Display thorough knowledge of warehouse processes, including production put-away and shipping, and participate in process improvement geared toward resolving and sustaining solutions in areas identified as deficient or inefficient. Quality Control: Serve as the final quality control associate for our finished products, ensuring that our high standards are met and that products are accurately labeled and prepared for shipping. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including backup for other positions in the department, and work independently with minimal supervision. Safety and Compliance: Maintain and adhere to all GMP and safety requirements, including becoming certified to operate Powered Industrial Equipment. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Education: General Education Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required. Experience with forklift operations and warehouse management systems is an asset. Physical Demands: Ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Forklift Certification: Previous forklift certification or experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment. Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures. Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn our warehouse management system.
