As a Direct Support Professional, you'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with our clients to develop their skills, enjoy their hobbies and daily activities, and provide support as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities on a weekend schedule, including Saturday and Sunday shifts Assist clients with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Support clients in developing their skills and independence, including helping them to set and achieve personal goals Accompany clients on outings and activities, such as going to movies, parks, and car shows, or enjoying hobbies and interests Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem Maintain accurate records and reports, including documenting client progress and incidents Collaborate with other support staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support Essential Qualifications To be successful as a Weekend Direct Support Professional, you'll need: A High School diploma or equivalent A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with ID/DD (for Relief/On-Call positions) Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities Certifications or training in areas such as CPR, First Aid, or disability support Ability to speak multiple languages Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Skills and Competencies To excel as a Weekend Direct Support Professional, you'll need: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing client needs Ability to maintain accurate records and reports Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CRi, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff.
