The County of San Mateo Jobs for Youth Summer Internship places Jobs for Youth Members who are between 18-21 in County Departments for 8-10 weeks. The internship program provides young adults valuable work experience, the opportunity to develop employment skills, and incredible opportunities to network! Internships start in June or July. Jobs for Youth is seeking a Summer Intern I/II to support theSenior Graphics Specialist in the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department is located in Redwood City.Applicants must be 18 years old before June 1, 2025. Applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours a week Monday through Friday; positions vary between 20-40 hours a week. NOTE:This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Some extra help positions are eligible for benefits under the Affordable Care Act. Extra help employees are not guaranteed permanent status at the end of the assignment. The Summer Intern I/II may provide:• Design and create a variety of visual materials, including (but not limited to) flyers, brochures, presentations, social media graphics, and website banners.• Utilize graphic design software (e.g., Canva, bolthires 365) to develop and refine creative concepts. • Proofread and edit all materials for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. • Assist in the production and distribution of marketing and communication materials. • Maintain organized project files and documentation. • Assist with other communication-related tasks as needed, such as drafting short-form content or assisting with social media updates.
