About UsWe are a new media project dedicated to telling meaningful, human-centered stories through thoughtful interviews. Our digital presence will include articles, blogs, podcasting, newsletters etc. We are looking for someone early or mid in their journalism/research career who is an idea generator and comfortable with ambiguity as the projects develops. Role OverviewYou will be responsible for sourcing, securing, and preparing remote interviews with sources according to a set of instructions. You’ll identify compelling voices, reach out to interviewees, manage scheduling, and conduct pre-interview conversations.You won’t need advanced reporting experience—just strong communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to develop your craft. Key ResponsibilitiesSource interview subjects across social media, news stories, online communities, and public networks. Reach out to potential guests professionally via email, DM, LinkedIn, or other channels. Conduct pre-interview calls to assess story fit and gather initial information. Coordinate remote interviews (Zoom/Teams/Meet) including scheduling and confirmations.Prepare briefing notes for the editorial team. Maintain a pipeline of leads and track outreach and responses. Assist with basic research, fact-checking, and story development as needed. What We’re Looking ForEarly or mid career journalist, recent graduate, or aspiring reporter/producer. Comfortable talking with strangers and building rapport quickly. Strong writing and communication skills. Highly organized with great follow-up habits. Curious, people-oriented, and able to spot a good story angle. Self-managed and able to work independently in a remote environment.Social Media/Digital storytelling skills are required.
