Legal Assistant for California Law Firm (Remote)Part-Time to Full-Time | Long-Term OpportunityAre you an experienced, proactive, detail oriented, legal assistant who excels at drafting, organization, and supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment? Our growing California law firm is seeking a reliable and organized legal assistant to support our daily operations, litigation tasks, case management, and ongoing support. This is a remote position, but you must be available during California business hours and able to attend weekly case meetings.Key Responsibilities-Answer phones, take messages, and route calls professionally and promptly-Conduct client intake and follow up with prospective and current clients-Manage and respond to emails with clarity and professionalism-Attend and take notes during case meetings (via Zoom or similar)-Track and manage tasks and deadlines using project management tools-Schedule meetings, hearings, and calendar important deadlines-Maintain organized digital files and case-related documentation-Support the attorney with day-to-day administrative needs-Litigation Drafting & Case Work-Prepare and draft deposition notices-Assist in preparing exhibits, timelines, and supporting case documents-Maintain organized digital case files and ensure materials are properly labeled and accessible-Case Support & Administrative Tasks-Attend weekly case meetings (Zoom or similar) and take clear, structured notes-Track deadlines, tasks, and hearing dates using project management tools-Schedule meetings, depositions, and other case-related events-Manage emails and client communications with professionalismWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Experience-Prior experience as a virtual assistant or administrative assistant (legal setting preferred but not required)-Strong email and phone communication skills-Highly organized and capable of tracking and completing multiple tasks independently-Takes initiative, doesn’t wait to be told what to do-Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment-Reliable, efficient, and committed to high-quality work-Tech-savvy and able to work with tools like Clio, Outlook, Zoom, CRMs, and task managers-Availability during business hours and quick to respond to communications-Strong understanding of litigation workflow and case management-Excellent organization and attention to detail—A MUST-Ability to work efficiently, follow instructions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment-Availability during California (PST) business hours-Professional communication skills (written and verbal)-Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently without constant supervisionPreferred (but not required)Experience in California civil litigationFamiliarity with employment law or personal injuryExperience using Clio, Outlook, BriefPoint, and task management toolsWhy Join Us?100% remote workOpportunity to work closely with an attorney and gain exposure to multiple practice areasLong-term position with potential for increased hours and responsibilitySupportive, growth-oriented environmentMeaningful work that directly contributes to client outcomesIf you are an experienced litigation paralegal who values precision, professionalism, and teamwork—we want to meet you. !
