SummaryThis position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Office of Management & Strategy, Administrator's Office. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a strategic advisor and primary liaison to the Administrator, ensuring agency activities, projects and communications align with the Administrator's priorities and initiatives and providing authoritative advice and recommendations on sensitive, complex and high visibility projects. Duties Help • Lead, coordinate and monitor special projects assigned by the Administrator, ensuring alignment with the USDA, FPAC, and FSA strategic priorities.• Drive workforce engagement initiatives, promoting innovation, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness. • Act as the primary communication bridge between the Administrator, internal offices and external stakeholders. • Facilitate communication, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Represent the Administrator at meetings, communicating priorities and reinforcing organizational goals. • Plans, develops, and execute agency-wide events and initiative designed to foster employee engagement, and strengthen workplace culture.• Serve as a resource to managers and employees by providing guidance on best practices to improve engagement, organizational culture, and employee well-being. Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-13 level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service.Specialized experience is defined as: • Assisting in the development and/or implementation of an Agency's digital modernization plan; • Developed and/or implemented workforce engagement strategies to enhance employee participation, promote innovative practices, and improve overall organizational efficiency and effectiveness; • Assisting or leading projects with a focus on modernizing an agency's business practices and processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade Requirement: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.You must meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement.
