About the Team Workday seeks a highly motivated Manager of Marketing Automation to join the Marketing Operations organization. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you will lead a team of Campaign Optimization Managers responsible for supporting the North American and Global Marketing teams. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with internal customers to evolve campaign execution processes and disseminate marketing automation standards throughout the department. About the Role Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Provide ground-breaking leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the Campaign Optimization team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Cultivate the professional development of team members to maximize their potential and contribution to the organization. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely project completion while defining achievements and work structures. Strategy, Operations & Optimization Standardize and optimize marketing automation processes and QA procedures to ensure the perfect delivery of campaigns. Continuously analyze and refine marketing automation strategies based on data-driven insights and industry methodologies. Manage flows and infrastructure for current and future nurture programs. Establish and supervise performance benchmarks (deliverability, engagement, ROI) and provide regular reports to the organization. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a strategic liaison between Marketing Operations and departments such as Digital Marketing, Social Media, Events, and Field Marketing to drive alignment. Collaborate with Business Technology teams to ensure coordination in optimizing marketing channels and functions. Act as a strategic partner to internal customers, providing recommendations derived from automation data and trends to drive innovation. Vendor & Partner Management Manage External Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for external agencies and marketing technology vendors, ensuring successful partnership and resource allocation. Performance Monitoring: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with vendors to assess performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and identify areas for optimization. Contract & Budget Oversight: Assist in the negotiation of contracts and monitor vendor spend to ensure budget efficiency and ROI for marketing technology tools. About You Basic Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing automation with a track record of leading complex initiatives and teams. Platform Mastery: Proven Marketo and Salesforce experience with a background in supporting sophisticated automation implementations. Analytics: Familiarity with analytics tools such as Tableau or Signa is a plus. Demand Generation: Demonstrated experience in scaling demand generation programs, including nurture campaigns and outbound marketing. Vendor Management: Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing third-party software vendors and agency partners to support marketing goals. Other Qualifications: Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain advanced concepts to diverse internal customers. Project Management: Confirmed skills in prioritizing and leading multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Problem Solving: Robust problem-solving skills and keen business sense paired with technical proficiency. Adaptability: A dedication to supporting others and growing in a high-energy environment. Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
