Summary :Reporting jointly to the Director of Medical Education and the Director MedEd & Non-Cancer Research, the Manager, Graduate Medical Education & Non-Cancer Clinical Research is responsible for the management of ThedaCare Graduate Medical Education & Non-Cancer Clinical Research Office. The Manager of Graduate Medical Education Non-Cancer Clinical Research will be responsible for the following activities: the management of daily operations including administrative, fiscal, and clinical/technical activities; providing strategic project management, facilitation and continuous improvement opportunities to assure quality research and care; provide oversite for the operation of the office including management of team members, grant budgets, contracts, research income, and invoicing; and, responsible for the coordination of GME & Non-Cancer Clinical research and clinical trials to assure that targets are meet and compliant to standards which include IRB activities with both internal and external partners (including sponsors, CROs, CRAs, and PIs);The Manager should engage in scholarly activities on behalf of ThedaCare to enhance research including the following: participation in organized clinical research discussions; presenting work at scientific and professional conferences; writing manuscripts on original research for peer-reviewed journals, reviews and/or book chapters, and research grant applications; mentoring faculty in the field; and serving on peer-review committees, or other scholarly activity resulting in the production or application of knowledge which is documented and/or disseminated to the professional community.The primary goal of the position is to increase participation and the diversity of research conducted by ThedaCare. Job Description:Key Accountabilities• Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. • Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes. • Coordinates activities with physicians, other clinicians, leaders, team members, and other individuals and/or entities as necessary to ensure the success of the office.• Develops trusting relationships with non-ThedaCare and ThedaCare physicians and clinicians, team members, and leaders. • Leads and coordinates the day-to-day operations of office and helps facilitate compliance to all clinical trial procedures. • Ensures that process improvements create value for teams and are successfully implemented and measured. • Oversees and manages contracts related to research programming and clinical trials. • Coordinates all IRB and Compliance activities with internal and external partners for GME & Non-Cancer Clinical Research• Works closely with internal and external stakeholders (including sponsors, CROs, CRAs, PIs, etc.)• Onboard, train, coach, mentor, and advocate for clinical research team in job responsibilities, system culture, and career goals• Develops performance expectations, coaches, evaluates, and motivates team members.• Identify training needs, formulate strategies to address training gaps, and conduct training and education• Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices. • Works collaboratively with other leaders in Graduate Medical Education and throughout Froedtert ThedaCare Health. • Performs other duties as required. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIESEDUCATIONMinimum Required:• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in healthcare research or other research related biomedical discipline.Preferred:• A Masters or higher degree in healthcare research or other research related biomedical discipline. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEMinimum Required:• Five or more years of applicable experience within the field and discipline with three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects• Must possess a working knowledge of federal regulations, compliance policy, and human subject's protections as they relate to the conduct of a wide variety of research projects.
