Medicaid Market Development Advisor- Vendor Management
About the position The Medicaid Market Development Advisor - Vendor Management provides support to assigned health plans and/or specialty companies relative to Medicaid product implementation, operations, contract compliance, and federal contract application submissions. The Market Development Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This role serves as the primary resource on regulations for all assigned categories and third parties, ensuring that assigned health plans are meeting or exceeding corporate Medicaid performance benchmarks. The advisor maintains relationships with internal business partners and exercises independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, working under minimal supervision. Responsibilities • Support Medicaid product implementation and operations for assigned health plans. • Ensure compliance with federal contract application submissions. • Act as the primary resource on regulations for assigned categories and third parties. • Maintain relationships with internal business partners. • Analyze variable factors and determine the best course of action on complex issues. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. • 3+ years experience with Medicaid or Medicare operations. • 3+ years managing large scale projects and cross-functional teams. • Demonstrated success in developing working relationships within a highly matrixed business environment. • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data and making informed recommendations. • Procurement negotiation and contracting experience. • Experience with RFP's / RFX. • Strong proficiency in MS Office products specifically Excel, Word, & PowerPoint. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree. • Experience responding to state and/or federal government solicitations. • Experience developing relationships with key stakeholders to understand and improve the market. • Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute/CPSM® Certified Professional in Supply Management®.
