Online Social Worker | Michigan

A contract position is available for a Social Worker specializing in telehealth services within a K-12 school setting. This role focuses on supporting a current caseload of 10 special education students who have social work services outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The position involves approximately 20 hours per week and serves during the current school year. Key responsibilities include: • Providing telehealth social work services to special education students in compliance with their IEP requirements • Collaborating with educators, counselors, and families to support students' social and emotional needs • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation related to social work interventions • Developing and implementing individualized support plans that foster students' academic and personal growth • Participating in meetings and contributing to the development of student support strategies Preferred qualifications and experience: • Licensed social worker with experience serving school-aged children, particularly in telehealth formats • Familiarity with special education services and working within a K-12 environment • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff • Ability to manage a caseload and maintain thorough records and reports • Understanding of trauma-informed care and behavior management techniques Location: Kalamazoo, MI This opportunity offers a chance to deliver critical social work support to students in a flexible, telehealth-based format.
