Job Summary In this part-time remote Data Entry Assistant role, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of charge and payment transactions while maintaining accuracy and production standards. Your primary focus will be on transcribing data from source documents and entering it into our computer system, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. You will also review and accept charge sessions from assigned work queues, analyze charges for discrepancies, and refer issues to the appropriate individuals for follow-up. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing processes. Key Responsibilities Handle high volumes of charge and payment transactions while meeting accuracy and production standards Transcribe data from source documents and enter it into our computer system, including charge tickets, insurance explanation of benefits, and personal payments Review and accept charge sessions from assigned work queues with a high level of accuracy, analyzing charges for discrepancies and referring issues to the appropriate individuals for follow-up Input payments and adjustments, reviewing insurance explanation of benefits to ensure that appropriate payments and adjustments are applied according to contractual requirements Assist in other clerical assignments, such as scanning, filing, mail processing/delivery, and patient registration Provide documentation to appropriate staff when discrepancies are noted, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as two years of data entry experience or a combination of related education and experience. You should be highly detail-oriented, with excellent typing skills and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze charges for discrepancies are also essential. As a remote worker, you will need to be self-motivated and disciplined, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
