Part-Time WordPress Developer for Website Maintenance & Security
We are a small but active business seeking a US-based WordPress developer to support ongoing website maintenance, security, and reliability. This is a part-time, long-term relationship—not a one-off build project. The ideal candidate will have experience in ensuring website stability and implementing security measures to protect against potential threats. Scope of Work Core WordPress, plugin, and theme updates Monitor and resolve plugin conflicts Website security hardening and best practices Backup verification and restore testing Minor site edits and fixes as needed Troubleshoot issues related to hosting, performance, or uptime Support occasional larger updates or improvements (budgeted separately) Environment WordPress (primary CMS) Shared hosting or managed WP hosting Existing plugins and theme (no rebuild required) Understanding of Google Search Console for data review & cleansing Requirements US-based contractor 3+ years WordPress maintenance experience Strong understanding of: WordPress core PHP / MySQL basics Security best practices Comfortable working independently with limited oversight Clear communicator who documents changes Engagement Model Light monthly support (1–2 hours/month) Occasional quarterly needs (2–4 hours) On-call availability for urgent issues (reasonable response expectations) Apply tot his job
