People Operations Specialist

At A1 Garage Door Service, we’re growing fast—and so is our team. We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist who’s excited to support our employees, keep HR running smoothly, and help us use smart tools (including AI) to work better as we scale. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Operations & Programs, this role is hands-on and service oriented. You’ll be a go-to resource for employees, help manage our HR systems, and support programs that make A1 a great place to work. ✨ What You’ll Do ⚙️ Systems & Processes • Help build, document, and improve HR processes, workflows, and reporting • Manage updates, troubleshooting, and data accuracy • Support compliance activities, including audits, recordkeeping, and required postings Employee Support • Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR questions • Provide clear guidance on policies, benefits, and leave programs • Partner with the Sr. Manager to escalate and support more complex or sensitive issues Program Support • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination • Support engagement, recognition, onboarding, offboarding, and LMS programs • Help ensure a smooth employee experience across the full employee lifecycle ✅ What You Bring • At least 3 years of HR/People Ops or Generalist experience • Strong experience working in HR systems • Comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency and employee support • Comfort using Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations • Detail-oriented, organized, and always looking for better ways to do things • Strong communication skills and a service-first mindset • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing company #INDA1 Benefits and other cool stuff: · Medical, dental, vision, 401K · Paid Time Off · Weekly Pay · Internal Promotion opportunities · Company swag (Please note: benefits are not available for part time, temporary or contract roles) A1 Garage Door (and affiliate companies) provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
