Principal Application Architect - Customer/1 & FCP (C / Unix SME)

Location: Remote Duration: 10 months CTG is seeking a highly experienced Principal Application Architect / SME to lead and support enterprise Customer/1 and Foundation (FCP) platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with deep C and UNIX expertise who thrives in mission-critical, high-availability environments. Key Responsibilities: Act as technical lead and SME for Customer Service Systems (CSS), Customer/1, and FCP Design, enhance, and support large-scale applications using C and UNIX shell scripting Lead architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization Support AIX environments, including OS migrations, upgrades, and system hardening Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to ensure stability and alignment with business goals Required Skills & Experience: 15+ years in application architecture or enterprise platform engineering Strong hands-on expertise with Customer/1 and Foundation (FCP) Advanced C programming and UNIX shell scripting (Bash/Korn) Extensive experience with AIX servers and production-critical systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Nice to Have: PuTTY, WinSCP, Foundation design tools GitHub or similar source control platforms Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
