Today, we continue to expand by maximizing impact through larger district and nonprofit partnerships and harnessing the power of technology to better serve teachers and students. ABOUT THE ROLE CollegeSpring is seeking a qualified proofreading contractor to review various content-area materials and lessons for accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, and style aligned with the ACT®. The contractor will work closely with the Digital Curriculum Senior Manager to ensure that suggested changes align with exam standards and are accurate, rigorous, and inclusive. We are looking for someone comfortable with Secondary ELA content. WHAT YOU’LL DO Participate in a project kick-off call, weekly check-ins, and other team meetings as needed to set goals, review work, and discuss progress with the curriculum team. Communicate regularly with the Digital Curriculum Manager regarding deadlines, feedback, and transparency on work progress. Review and understand various style guides in relation to different achievement test standards. Proofread and provide feedback, using the suggesting feature, on ELAR practice questions, lessons, and materials created by other writers, ensuring accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, and style. File formats will vary by assignment, but typically include Google Docs and Google Slides. Ensure the text meets the tone and character count outlined in the test standards. Meet proofreading deadlines. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Experience with proofreading, editing, and providing feedback Familiarity with style guides Familiar with test design and secondary-level instructional content (ELA focus) Tech-savvy with confidence navigating: Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs Learning Management Systems (e.g., Buzz, Canvas, Schoology) Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines on short timelines Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through Experience with achievement assessments like the SAT®, ACT®, or TSIA2 Apply tot his job
