Quantitative Finance Expert
Mercor is hiring experienced Quantitative Finance professionals to join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. This role involves designing, evaluating, and stress-testing advanced AI systems that mimic real-world workflows in quantitative trading, risk management, financial engineering, and high-frequency trading (HFT). You’ll help train, calibrate, and validate AI models across complex domains such as derivatives pricing, portfolio optimization, market microstructure, and algorithmic execution.• * Key Responsibilities- Evaluate outputs of AI-driven pricing, trading, and risk models for robustness, calibration, and accuracy- Design and test simulation frameworks for derivatives valuation, portfolio construction, and market scenarios- Audit AI-generated trading strategies, execution algorithms, and quantitative research outputs- Provide domain-specific feedback on model assumptions, performance metrics, and financial realism• * Ideal Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in quantitative finance, trading, or financial engineering.This could include experience at top trading firms (e.g., Citadel, Jane Street, Two Sigma, DE Shaw), quant groups at investment banks, or asset managers with quantitative strategies-Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance). A PhD or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus- Strong expertise in quantitative modeling and computational finance. Proficiency in derivatives pricing, stochastic calculus, risk-neutral valuation, and statistical arbitrage- Programming and data skills.Deep proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages, along with strong experience in numerical libraries, time-series modeling, and high-performance computing- Market microstructure and trading knowledge.
