Regulatory Affairs Attorney (6 months)

JURISolutions is seeking a highly capable Regulatory Affairs Attorney to support our financial service industry client's Regulatory Affairs team on a high-visibility project involving the review and analysis of forthcoming banking capital rules issued by U.S. federal banking agencies (Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC). The project centers on the anticipated Basel III Endgame proposal and the secondee will be responsible for analysis of the proposal, assessment of implementation considerations, and coordination with peer institutions to develop industry comments.This initiative is expected to attract significant attention from regulators, the industry, and the financial press. Key ResponsibilitiesThe secondee will be expected to:• Read, interpret, and analyze complex banking law and regulatory materials. • Draft clear and concise summary notes on regulatory provisions and related issues. • Identify and frame key issues for internal discussion and decision-making. • Participate in internal and external calls, summarize discussions, and prepare take-aways or talking points.• Assist in drafting briefing materials, updates, and other written deliverables related to the proposed rule or regulation. • Support cross-bank collaboration efforts in reviewing the proposal and developing comment letters. Qualifications• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (candidates with slightly less experience may be considered in exceptional circumstances). • Strong understanding of banking law and financial regulatory frameworks. • Excellent legal and analytical writing skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory issues into clear and actionable insights.• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills and comfort working on high-profile, fast-moving regulatory matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on a critical regulatory initiative with meaningful industry impact. The secondee will gain deep exposure to capital regulation, federal rulemaking processes, and industry advocacy efforts.
