[Remote] Actuarial Analyst 2

The Actuarial Analyst 2 will analyze and forecast financial data to support strategic decisions, ensuring data integrity and collaborating with stakeholders to address business needs. Responsibilities• Analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions• Establishes metrics, provides data analyses, and works directly to support business intelligence• Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position• Ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs/issues, troubleshoots problems, conducts root cause analysis, and develops cost effective resolutions for data anomalies• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed• Follows established guidelines/procedures• Helps make and test methodology changes to the tools, primarily in SQL, VBA, and Excel• Answers questions and researches issues from other business partners that utilize our tools• Works with our business partners to help understand how we can improve our toolsSkills• Bachelor's Degree• Successful completion of at least 3 actuarial exams• Meets requirements for Humana's ActuarialProfessional Development Program (APDP)• Strong communication skills• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences• Strong technical skills, especially SQL and VBA• Individual Medicare Advantage experienceBenefits• Medical, dental and vision benefits• 401(k) retirement savings plan• Time off (including paid time off, company and personal holidays, volunteer time off, paid parental and caregiver leave)• Short-term and long-term disability• Life insuranceCompany Overview• Humana is a health insurance provider for individuals, families, and businesses.It was founded in 1964, and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
