BCG Attorney Search is a respected litigation-focused firm seeking an Associate Appellate Litigation Attorney in Chicago, IL, with remote work options available. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting briefs, and representing clients in court, emphasizing professional development and a supportive culture. Responsibilities• Conduct file review and analyze claims and causes of action. • Perform extensive legal research and draft substantive briefs, pleadings, memos, and appellate briefs.• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, depositions, and trial preparation. • Draft and respond to discovery requests. • Collaborate with and retain expert witnesses. • Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours. • Travel as required for hearings and case obligations. Skills• Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience, including exposure to appellate matters. • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. • Admitted to practice in Illinois; Iowa admission considered a plus. • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.• Excellent oral communication and client-service abilities. • Ability to multitask, self-manage, and work collaboratively. • Responsiveness to email and client communication is essential. • Admission to the Illinois Bar (required). • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities. • Outstanding client relationship and communication skills. • Ability to manage a diverse caseload while meeting deadlines.
