[Remote] BI Report Writer

They are seeking a BI Report Writer who will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, designing reports, and ensuring data governance to support the company's mission of providing exceptional financial protection to their group members. Responsibilities Collects and analyzes data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights Interprets data sets and transforms them into clear, concise, and meaningful reports Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions Designs and develops visually appealing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools Programs and maintains report templates, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources Creates customized reports that meet the specific needs of different departments and stakeholders Follows data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity Identifies data inconsistencies or anomalies and works with relevant teams to address and resolve them Follows report development and data analysis processes Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions that align with business objectives Communicates data analysis findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes Skills 1+ years proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis or related field required alongside familiarity with basic data analysis techniques and reporting tools and proficiency in SQL and basic data visualization tools such as power BI, Tableau or similar BA in Business; Computer Science; Data Science or related field required Some insurance industry experience preferred MS preferred Benefits Full range of medical, financial and other benefits Eligibility for the company’s performance sharing plan Paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal holidays Company Overview California Casualty is in the sole business of providing individuals with high-quality insurance coverage and service at a competitive price.It was founded in 1914, and is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
