[Remote] Bilingual Family Law Paralegal

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Divorcio Latino is a law practice dedicated to serving the Latino community, particularly immigrants facing family law issues. They are seeking a Bilingual Family Law Paralegal to support their legal team by creating legal documents, conducting research, and communicating with clients to facilitate their cases. Responsibilities • Create various legal papers, letters, affidavits, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and legal briefs • Organize legal research in support of motions, hearings, and other legal matters • Communicate with clients to ensure proper service, answer basic process-oriented questions about their case, and gather information about their legal issues • Review and prepare all financial disclosures and statements • Analyze and maintain an organizational system for discovery and records Skills • Fully Bilingual English-Spanish - as most of the clients do not speak English well, but some only speak English.We are seeking full proficiency in BOTH languages, and this is an absolute requirement for the job. • Attention to detailYour keen eye will help us stay on top of crucial dates and avoid costly mistakes. It is okay if you have an accent, but grammar and understanding must be excellent. • Knowledge of standard office administration software, as well as legal software management such as Clio and/or MyCase. • Technology savvy - expert in Adobe Pro, and at least one legal case management system. Clio preferable. • Excellent internet connection and private space to work remotely.• Clio experience preferred.
