[Remote] Corporate Financial Controller

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller/Finance Director Consultant for a long-term contract role in a 100%Remote capacity. The role is critical for ensuring seamless financial operations, requiring expertise in financial reporting and statutory compliance, particularly within a Health Insurance organization. Responsibilities• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting• Prepare and review financial statements to align with organizational and statutory requirements• Manage statutory reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations• Collaborate with teams to oversee expense reporting and budget management processes• Lead audits and provide necessary documentation to support audit activities• Serve as the primary point of contact for board reporting and deliver financial insights to stakeholders• Supervise and guide team members in financial operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals• Utilize ERP system to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate records• Support financial management initiatives and provide expert insights• Act as the go-to financial leader, ensuring stability and continuity during leadership transitionsSkills• Proven experience as a Controller, with a strong track record in financial management.• MUST HAVE: Active or Inactive CPA License• MUST HAVE: Health Insurance (payor) Experience• Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with Tier 1 ERP and proficiency in financial systems. • Solid understanding of statutory reporting requirements and compliance. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and collaborate effectively. • Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills to present financial information to stakeholders.• Prior Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred)• Previous experience in health plan financial operations is highly desirableCompany Overview• At Robert Half, we prioritize your security—if you believe you've encountered a scam or fraudulent recruiter, please report it immediately to It was founded in 1948, and is headquartered in Menlo Park, California, USA, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
