Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The State of Colorado's Governor's Office of Information Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Firewall Administrator. In this role, you will focus on enterprise firewall administration, implement new security tools, and ensure the security of public systems through various cybersecurity measures. Responsibilities • Install, configure, secure, monitor and maintain physical and virtual network assets to include internal, external, cloud and shared assets • Configure, monitor, and maintain security of firewalls • Perform vulnerability scans, establish plans to address risks and coordinate resolution of findings • Monitor performance of firewall assets and perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose issues, identify solutions, and implement permanent fixes • Support periodic and focused network assessments related to security, performance, or capacity • Perform security Audits to identify risks and recommend improvements to strengthen security Skills • A minimum of three (3) years of increasingly challenging work experience in information security, which must include experience in firewall administration (maintaining, upgrading, testing, and implementing firewall configuration changes as well as assessing the impact of changes on applications and other related systems) • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls • Professional certification to include: Network+, Security+, CCNA, SNCF, PCNSA, etc Company Overview • Serve the needs of the State of Colorado through a number of subdivisions.
