[Remote] DataOps & Build Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ALOIS Solutions is seeking an experienced DataOps & Build Engineer to help architect and scale a next-generation, cloud-native data platform. This senior, hands-on role focuses on defining DataOps frameworks, establishing best practices, and implementing CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure. Responsibilities • Define and champion a DataOps framework covering release management, environment promotion, and data quality standards • Establish and enforce best practices & SOPs for data pipeline development, testing, and deployment • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data code and data infrastructure • Build and manage data workflows using Dagster or Talend, with a strong focus on automation and reliability • Enforce Git best practices (branching strategies, repo standards, versioning) across data teams • Partner with Infrastructure teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in AWS • Design resilient pipelines with automated rollback and failure recovery • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure visibility into pipeline health and performance • Ensure security and compliance through IAM, encryption, and cloud best practices • Implement automated testing and data quality checks (schema validation, data integrity, drift detection) • Drive cloud cost optimization and efficient resource usage across data workloads Skills • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, or DataOps roles • Proven, hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines and data infrastructure • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and cloud-native architectures • Deep AWS experience (S3, IAM, networking, security) • An automation-first mindset — you eliminate manual work wherever possible • Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across data, infra, and security teams • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required Company Overview • ALOIS Solutions is a rapidly expanding Talent and Technology Solutions company.
