[Remote] DevOps Engineer - Identity & Access Management
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The University of Minnesota is seeking a DevOps Engineer for the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. The ideal candidate will support the transition to cloud-based services, build and maintain automation tools, and ensure quality software delivery in a DevOps environment. Responsibilities • Support transition from on premise services to cloud based services • Build, implement and/or maintain automation tools • Participate in IAM on-call team • Perform regular operational maintenance (e.g. patching, credential rotation, certificate management) • Troubleshoot and solve problems across multiple systems/platforms (including across organizational boundaries) • Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, ensure quality software delivery, and maintain a stable system in a DevOps environment Skills • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree • Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery systems (Azure Devops, Jenkins or equivalent) • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, Ansible or equivalent) • Experience with Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault, Azure Key Vault or equivalent) • Experience with Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred) • Experience in a compliance-heavy environment (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, FERPA) • Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL) • Experience with Cloud Service Providers (Azure or AWS) • Experience with Containerization (Docker or equivalent) • Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or equivalent) • Experience with integration tools (Boomi, Power Automate or equivalent) • Experience with shell scripting (sh, bash) and proficient with one other programming language (Python/Ruby/Go/Perl) • Intermediate Networking experience (Ex.
