About theRole:As a Direct Instruction Specialist at Braintrust Tutors, you'll work directly with students virtually to support their mastery of key math concepts through structured, high-impact intervention sessions. You'll deliver instruction with fidelity to our curriculum, reinforce classroom learning, and help students build the confidence and skills needed for academic success.Opportunity Details:Start Date: ASAP | Applications are being considered on a rolling basis. PET's Status: Must be PET's cleared or willing to obtain PET's clearance via fingerprinting process (Braintrust Tutors will pay and facilitate). What You Will Do:• Provide in-person, small-group or 1:1 math tutoring to elementary school students during the school day or after school• Implement Braintrust's intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelity• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance• Collaborate with the Braintrust Operations team and school staff to support student growth• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes focus and confidence• Follow school-site procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presence• Use provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instruction• Manage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activitiesWhat You Will Have:• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field• Active or expired teaching license• Knowledge of math instruction that builds number sense, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills, with a scope and sequence ranging from counting to multi-digit arithmetic, including decimals and fractions.• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred• Strong classroom management and communication skills• Comfort navigating a school environment and collaborating with teachers and staff• Punctuality, professionalism, and reliability for all scheduled sessions• Reliable transportation• Passion for literacy and closing opportunity gapsNext Steps:• Complete a one-way interview (sent after application)• Opportunity to meet with a Recruiter to ask any questions that you have about working with us• Onboarding & placement!Braintrust Tutors is an equal employment opportunity employer.
