[Remote] eDiscovery Attorney

TruLegal is representing a prominent AmLaw firm seeking an eDiscovery Attorney to establish standards for eDiscovery teams and manage complex legal protocols. The role involves consulting on discovery processes, overseeing document preservation, and advising on document review and production, while maintaining strong technical expertise in eDiscovery. Responsibilities• Promotes Firm's Discovery resources and capabilities to Firm attorneys and staff through training and cultivating relationships• Provides recommendations to the case teams and clients on discovery process improvements and opportunities to leverage advanced technologies for spend and risk reductions• Provides training on the technical and practical knowledge of RelativityOne and best practices• Advises case teams on document preservation and collection obligations and strategies in accordance with Firm and industry best practices• Drafts Litigation Hold Notices• Conducts document collection scoping interviews with clients• Interfaces with vendors and client IT departments to facilitate document collections• Collaborates with Firm's Discovery Analysts on data collection, processing, and ingestion into Relativity• Develops and advises case teams on strategies for culling collected data for review in accordance with Firm and industry best practices• Crafts, revises, and tests search terms for data culling and/or for document review• Advises case teams on conducting and implementing efficient and effective document reviews in accordance with Firm and industry best practices• Sets up and implements QC searches and protocols• Trains and supervises contract attorney review teams• Advises case teams on document production options and best practices• Collaborates with Firm's Discovery Analysts on production specifications• QCs document productions• Stays current on the development and evolution of case law, local rules, and best practices related to eDiscoverySkills• Licensed attorney in the state in which they reside• Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate degree required• Some experience as a dedicated eDiscovery Attorney not limited to document review• Knowledge of and experience with eDiscovery Best Practices and industry trends including the Sedona Conference, EDRM, case law, and local court practices• Proficiency with RelativityOne• Successful management of multiple, high-priority, complex matters simultaneously• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills• Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment• Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation• Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information• Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented, collaborative environment• Critical thinking, analytical and observational skills, to address key issues quickly and solve problems• A strong service orientation that always seeks the best way for internal and external clients to achieve their goals• Professional demeanor toward all contacts within and outside of the Firm• Genuine interest in and aptitude for eDiscovery• Active law license• Applicants are preferred from East Coast or Central time zonesCompany Overview• TruLegal (formerly TRU Staffing Partners) is where trusted legal talent meets the demands of an AI-enabled market.It was founded in 2010, and is headquartered in New York, New York, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
