[Remote] GCP Network/Cloud Engineer

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TechHuman is seeking a GCP Network Engineer to join their team. This role requires deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking and involves designing, implementing, and managing GCP networking components, as well as troubleshooting complex network issues across cloud and on-prem environments. Responsibilities• Design, implement, and manage GCP networking components including:• VPCs, VPC Service Controls, Firewall rules and policies• Private Service Connect (PSC), VPNs, and interconnects for datacenter connectivity• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and on-prem environments.• Identify and resolve routing issues between cloud systems and on-premises infrastructure. • Configure and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls, and work with Akami Cloud CDM for routing and security. • Manage firewall permissions and participate in firewall policy changes. • Implement and manage network automation tasks, particularly GCP network configurations using Terraform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable network operations. Skills• 7+ years of hands-on experience with GCP networking.• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and related security best practices. • Experience in hybrid networking: cloud to datacenter and vice versa. • Proficiency in troubleshooting routing and connectivity issues in complex environments. • Familiarity with network automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform. • Deep understanding of VPC, VPC Service Control, Firewall rules, firewall policies, PSCs, VPNs, and other networking protocols and ideologies. • Exposure to Google Kubernetes Engine and Service Mesh.• On-premises firewall and networking experience. • Certifications in GCP, Palo Alto, or Cisco. • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a dynamic team environment. • Knowledge of Akamai Cloud CDN/CDM services. • Experience with Cisco networking equipment (preferably Cisco 9k series). • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
