This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team, collaborate on meaningful projects, and contribute to causes that make a difference.Key Responsibilities• Develop, write, and edit compelling content for reports, blogs, newsletters, social media posts, press releases, case studies, and website copy aligned with the organization’s mission. • Conduct research to gather information, facts, and data for content creation, ensuring accuracy and relevance. • Collaborate with program teams, communications staff, and external stakeholders to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences. • Ensure that content is consistent in tone, style, and voice across various platforms.• Optimize content for SEO and social media engagement to increase visibility and outreach. • Assist in planning and executing content calendars, campaigns, and storytelling strategies. • Stay informed about global development trends and best practices to create timely and relevant content. • Review and proofread content to ensure it meets editorial standards and organizational guidelines. Required Skills and Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Social Sciences, or related fields.• Proven experience in writing, editing, and storytelling, preferably within NGOs, social impact organizations, or media platforms. • Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail and grammar. • Ability to translate complex issues into clear, accessible, and engaging content. • Familiarity with SEO tools, content management systems, and social media platforms. • Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Experience• 2–4 years of experience in content writing, journalism, communications, or related fields. • Prior experience working with NGOs, social enterprises, or development organizations is highly desirable. • Experience in storytelling, advocacy campaigns, and digital content strategies is a plus. Working Hours• Full-time remote position with flexible working hours. • Overlap with the European or GMT time zone is preferred, but not mandatory.• Some occasional meetings may be scheduled outside standard hours, depending on campaign requirements.
