Otto Aerospace is developing the world’s first fifth-generation business jet, focusing on sustainability through advanced aerodynamics and composites. The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) will manage program information for Structures and Materials & Process Engineering, ensuring products are delivered on schedule and within budget while coordinating across various teams. Responsibilities• Develop, maintain, and communicate the budget, schedule, and product development plans to all stakeholders• Collaborate with the Structures work package owners to define activities across all program phases: requirements & concept development, design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, certification, and transition to production• Support Supply Chain with management of external suppliers• Provide and maintain engineering inputs to the integrated master schedule to enable accurate program metrics and visibility• Define goals, track deliverables, identify risk, and drive mitigation plans; establish effective execution rhythms and tools to ensure alignment and accountability• Assess resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects• Coordinate with other TPMs to prepare project reports, summarizing status, risks, mitigations, and opportunities for all levels of management• Manage the project roadmap within the framework of the overall program strategySkills• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or other related field• A minimum of eight (8) years in technical program/project management role, preferably in the aviation industry• A minimum of ten (10) years of total experience (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)• Structures engineering experience throughout the product lifecycle, including composite material system development and aerostructures certification• Project management experience in complex aircraft structures development through design, testing, and qualification phases• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, Jama, Jira and/or other project management tools• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing standard processes• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills• Ability to work cross‐functionally, build relationships, and manage conflict• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proactive delivery of communication and follow up• Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints• Demonstrated agility and autonomous decision-making within ambiguous situations• Experience with Dassault 3DXBenefits• Subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage• 401(k) opportunities• Paid short term disability• Voluntary long-term disability• Additional term life• 15 paid days off• 13 paid company holidays• Paid sick leave• Potential bonuses• Stock optionsCompany Overview• Otto is creating the future of sustainable air travel through paradigm-shifting design, performance and economics.It was founded in 2008, and is headquartered in Yorba Linda, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
