[Remote] Sr. Automation Tester with IRS GFE required

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 3M Consultancy is seeking aSenior Automation Tester to support an IRS code modernization project. The role involves planning, building, and running tests to ensure new code functions correctly and meets quality standards. Responsibilities• Understand project requirements and turn them into clear test plans and test cases. • Set up test environments and run both manual and automated tests. • Log and track defects, and work with the team to get them fixed.• Perform regression and acceptance testing to ensure everything works as expected. • Support backend testing, including APIs and databases (SQL is a plus). • Work with automation tools like Selenium or Cypress. • Take part in the full software development lifecycle and CI/CD process. • Help improve testing processes and contribute to better software quality. Skills• 5+ years of work experience• Active IRS MBI Clearance Required• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical people• Good time management and teamwork skills• Experience writing and executing test scripts• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks• Familiarity with backend testing, CI/CD, and the overall software development lifecycle• Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred (more experience required if no degree)• Experience with non-functional testing (Accessibility, Performance, Security) is a plusCompany Overview• 3M Consultancy is a staffing firm that offers contract, temporary, hire, and permanent placement services.It was founded in 2018, and is headquartered in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA, with a workforce of 2-10 employees.
