REPORTING ANALYST (LEVEL I, II, or III)
About the positionResponsibilities• Confers with staff to determine and analyze needs, define business processes, make recommendations, and provide design and development reporting in support of changing needs and priorities using project management cycle standards. • Collaborates with College stakeholders to develop and maintain reports to support data-based decision making, performs analyses of report data to provide meaningful and accurate information, and assists in the development of data objects to support complex reporting needs.• Develops reports using a variety of institutional data originating from multiple sources, including the College's Student Information Systems (SIS), financial systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other repositories. • Manages daily, weekly, and monthly report distribution of standardized reports, including enrollment reporting, financial/budgetary reporting, and others as needed by the College. • Assists Del Mar College IT senior developers and database administrators to build and refine data sets, build extracts for software integrations, produce data models, and test prototype reports and data sets.• Remains current on relevant industry technology standards and makes recommendations to update systems to help maintain an efficient operation. Requirements• Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience for Level I. • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience OR Associate's degree and three (3) years of experience for Level II. • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience OR Associate's degree and five (5) years of experience for Level III. • Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), table structure and joins, window functions, and other data aggregation methods.• Strong working knowledge and experience loading and presenting formatted data with bolthires Excel. • Experience with relational databases such as bolthires SQL Server, MySQL, PostGres, and/or other systems. • Experience with bolthires SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), analytical and visualization packages like PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Python/R. Nice-to-haves• Experience in a higher education setting. • Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) such as Ellucian Colleague/Banner, Anthology, PeopleSoft, etc.Benefits• Remote work eligibility within Texas. • Travel and lodging expenses covered for required onsite meetings. • Computer device, mobile hotspot, and other necessary equipment provided.
