Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, a nationally recognized pediatric academic medical center. The Revenue Integrity Chargemaster Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of the organization's charge capture systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliant billing, clean claims, and optimized revenue through chargemaster maintenance, charge testing, edit review, and collaboration across revenue cycle and clinical teams.Responsibilities/ JobDuties:• Maintain and oversee the Chargemaster (CDM), including building, reviewing, approving, and testing new and revised charges• Update CDM annually and quarterly in accordance with AMA CPT and CMS HCPCS guidelines• Review and manage revenue edits including CCI, MUE, and other work queue edits to improve billing accuracy and reduce claim issues• Perform charge reconciliation and identify opportunities, discrepancies, and deficiencies within charging processes• Collaborate with Clinical Departments, Information Management,Professional Billing, and Reimbursement teams• Maintain and update fee schedules and support annual price increase initiatives• Provide education and guidance to internal departments on charge capture and coding-related topics• Participate in system upgrades, projects, audits, and compliance investigations as neededMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:• Bachelor's degree required OR appropriate experience in lieu of formal education• Coding credential required (CPC, COC, CCS, CCA, or CCS-P) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire• Minimum of 3 years of Chargemaster (CDM) experience• Epic Charge Capture certification required within 1 year of hire• Strong understanding of CPT, HCPCS, revenue codes, and billing regulations• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointSchedule/ Shift:Monday-Friday during business hours; flexible start time typically between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM (no strict 8-5 schedule, productivity-focused)For California Applicants:We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC),The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO), and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).This position is subject to a background check based on its job duties, which may include patient care, working with vulnerable populations, access to financial and confidential information, driving, working with heavy machinery, or working in a warehouse or laboratory environment.
