We are creating a science and evidence-based social media website — think Reddit with footnotes. Our goal is to create communities for research based conversations ranging from health, nutrition, AI, public policy, and all other areas of academic research. I’m looking for science writers who can produce short to medium-length posts that summarize research accurately, clearly, and responsibly for a general audience or research communities. What You’ll Write About:For health and wellness, we are looking for writers to summarizeexisting content from established evidence-based voices like Peter Attia, Physionic, and others.Here is an example from our website:For other areas we may ask you to summarize upcoming interesting research, like those found in AI or public policy. As an example:The topics will be areas of your expertise. We expect:-Clear, readable explanations for a non-expert audience-Accurate representation of the underlying research-Citations to original papers or credible sources-Neutral, evidence-based tone (no hype, no clickbait)-Concise structure (typically short to medium length)Ideal BackgroundYou don’t need a PhD, but you should have:-A general academic or professional background in science, health, tech, policy, or a related field-Strong ability to read and interpret research papers-Experience explaining complex topics in plain English-Familiarity with evidence-based health or science communicationBonus points if you:-Have a strong background in writing in research or academia like a journal editor, conducted lit reviews etc.-Have written for science blogs, Substack, Medium, or similar platforms-Are comfortable reading clinical studies, meta-analyses, or policy papers-Have an expertise in a specific research field that you would like to share on our websiteCompensation & Volume-Pay can be hourly or per post, depending on experience-Multiple posts per week available for the right writer-Potential for long-term collaboration Apply tot his job
