Scriptwriter for short-form drama series (homebuyer education, startup edtech)
We are building a consumer education startup called Nest Navigate. Our product helps first-time homebuyers become more confident and better prepared through short, story-driven video episodes inside our app. We are looking for a scriptwriter to create a short drama-style series using recurring characters and realistic homebuying situations. These scripts will be delivered by realistic AI human avatars inside our product. The writing must feel completely natural and human, exactly as if it were written for real actors. This is a dialogue-driven project. We are not looking for narration-heavy or corporate training style writing. What you will create • 30 short scripts, each 60 to 90 seconds • Each script centers on a realistic emotional or practical homebuying situation • A recurring cast of characters across the full series • Natural, modern dialogue that feels authentic and grounded • Each episode subtly teaches one practical concept such as budgeting, timing, inspections, tradeoffs, emotional decision-making, or readiness • The learning must come from the situation and conversation, not from overt explanations Important context These scripts are for realistic AI human avatars that speak on screen. They are not voice-over scripts and not narration-driven content. This is not a marketing project, not advertising, and not promotional video content. These are in-product learning episodes for users. Deliverables • 30 finished scripts • Simple character continuity and personality notes • Clear scene flow appropriate for 60 to 90 second performances Ideal background • Experience writing short-form scripted or episodic content • Strong dialogue and scene pacing • Experience with web series, short digital episodes, or social video storytelling is a plus We care more about storytelling and realism than industry experience.
