Responsibilities forSenior Case/Paralegal Manager:• Oversee day-to-day paralegal workflows, ensuring high-quality support across complex litigation matters. • Manage, mentor, and develop paralegal staff through training, feedback, and regular one-on-one check-ins.• Coordinate with attorneys, vendors, and case teams on deadlines, trial logistics, document production, and court procedures. • Maintain an active caseload while meeting billable hour expectations and ensuring team-wide compliance with federal and state court rules. • Assist with matter staffing, workload distribution, and recommendations to improve departmental processes and efficiencies. • Support recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, and resolution of employee relations issues in partnership with HR.Qualifications forSenior Case/Paralegal Manager:• Bachelor’s degree required; ABA-approved paralegal certificate strongly preferred. • Minimum 8 years of litigation paralegal experience, including significant trial and deposition work• Minimum 2 years leadership or supervisory experience within a law firm setting. • Strong proficiency with litigation tools (Relativity, Lexis/Westlaw, PACER, SharePoint) and federal/NY state e-filing systems. • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to lead by example.• Ability to manage competing deadlines, maintain professionalism under pressure, and support the development of junior talent.
