About the role:Sound Physicians, a leader in improving quality and reducing the bolthires of healthcare for patients in the communities we serve, is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and organized self-starter to join our Finance Operations team as aSenior Financial Analyst focused on hospital medicine & emergency medicine services.TheSenior Financial Analyst will work closely with the senior leadership team and other business leaders in analyzing results and preparing budgets to drive improvements across the service line. The position reports to the Regional Director of Finance and will often interact with the regional and service line leadership. The Details:This opportunity is remote and will require 1-2 weeks of travel per year, primarily in the summer during budget season. This role will support operational & clinical leaders located in Eastern & Central time zones.Due to the remote setting, this role will require multiple weekly phone calls and meetings, thus the right candidate will be comfortable engaging with other team members on a daily basis and will require a self-start attitude in order to manage priorities & deliverables. In this role, you will be responsible for:• Partner with Operations leaders to monitor multiple hospital locations for areas to improve financial performance, improve efficiency in key performance drivers, review payroll transactions to ensure alignment with provider contracts and report monthly financial results to Regional Leadership• Building and performing complex financial analysis in areas such as site and service line historic performance, projecting future results, identifying potential opportunities and risks, etc.• Play a lead role in facilitating the budget process, including working with business leaders to identify trends and quantify financial impacts to maximize site-level profitability and Sound’s value to its hospital partners• Preparing pricing models and analysis for contract amendments, and renewals, including review of contracts prior to signature to ensure accuracy of financial terms• Interaction with Accounting Department during month-end close to ensure material accuracy of financial statements and statistical informationWhat we are looking for: A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of a combination of these values, knowledge, and experience:Values:• Self-Starter: Demonstrates the ability to jump in and start a task or project with limited direction• Intellectualy Curious: Demonstrates a genuine interest in learning new things and wants to know the reason “why” behind the way things are done• Customer-Focused: Puts customer (internal and external) needs first and makes customers their top priority• Likes People: Genuinely enjoys engaging with and helping others; feels a sense of accomplishment through helping and working with other people• Work Ethic: Dedication to getting the job done well and on time, regardless of circumstances, a can-do attitudeKnowledge:• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred• Strong understanding of finance and accounting including but not limited to financial statements, return on investment, variance analysis, trend analysis, etc.• Highly analytical, detail oriented and organized• Moderate experience in bolthires Excel (xlookup, sumifs, pivot tables, indirect)Experience:• 3-5 years related experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting or consultingPay Range: $90,000-$105,000 annually, and is bonus eligible.
