Senior Medical Research Writer & Publications LeadWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Research Writer & Publications Lead to oversee the drafting, and refinement of scientific manuscripts across sports science, physiology, and medical science. This role is responsible for transforming complex research outputs into clear, accurate, and publication-ready documents that meet top-tier journal standards. Key Responsibilities• Serve as writer for manuscripts, white papers, technical reports, and academic submissions.• Convert provided methods, participant details, statistical outputs, figures, and internal research notes into polished, publication-ready manuscripts. • Write precise and technically accurate Methods and Results sections based on supplied procedures and datasets. • Generate professional tables, figure captions, and data summaries suitable for peer-reviewed journals. • Conduct structured literature searches to produce strong Introductions, Background, and State-of-the-Art sections with well-supported references.• Ensure all manuscripts meet specific journal formatting and reporting guidelines (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, etc.). • Manage citations using Zotero or BibTeX, maintain reference accuracy, and ensure proper LaTeX formatting. • Collaborate with researchers, statisticians, and technical staff to ensure scientific accuracy and clarity. • Maintain strict confidentiality with unpublished data and sensitive research materials. • Drive publication timelines, coordinate revisions, and manage submission and resubmission processes.Required Skills & Qualifications• Demonstrated experience as an academic writer, research writer, or author on scientific publications. • Proficiency in LaTeX and Overleaf, including complex document structuring, equations, tables, and figure integration. • Ability to manage and format citations using Zotero or BibTeX. • Strong understanding of scientific reporting standards and journal requirements. • Solid grasp of basic statistics and the ability to interpret statistical outputs into clear written Results.• Exceptional attention to detail, editorial quality, and scientific accuracy. • Proven ability to conduct structured literature reviews and synthesize findings cohesively. • Reliable communication, timely delivery, and the ability to work independently under confidentiality agreements. • Sample work from prior academic publications required for consideration.
