Relocation to Washington, D.C., may be required. Duties & Responsibilities• Conduct comprehensive analysis of social and economic data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. • Develop economic forecasts and models to predict future trends and assess potential impacts and vulnerability to hazards. • Provide data-driven recommendations to inform strategic planning and policy development. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored reports and visualizations.• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and adjust models as necessary. Required Qualifications• Master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in economic analysis, data interpretation, or a related discipline. • Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS, or Stata). • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications• Ph.D. in a relevant field. • Experience in social impact analysis or economic policy research. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and techniques. • Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience in public sector, non-profit, or community-focused economic analysis. • Knowledge and experience with Chambers of Commerce financial institutions, lending agencies, non-profit groups, and government agencies.• Understanding of emergency management response and recovery programs.
