Software Testing Trainee – Entry Level Remote Job
Mindtree is seeking motivated and detail-oriented freshers to join as Software Testing Trainees in a remote entry-level position. The Software Testing Trainee will collaborate with development teams to ensure software quality, perform testing activities, and contribute to delivering high-quality software products for clients globally. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in planning, designing, and executing test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing as per project requirements. • Report, document, and track defects using testing tools and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. • Support automation testing efforts by learning and applying relevant frameworks and tools. • Ensure adherence to quality standards, testing guidelines, and timelines. • Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and learning programs. • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). • Familiarity with manual and automated testing concepts and tools. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately. • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience: • Freshers from 2023–2025 batch are eligible. • Academic projects, internships, or certifications in software testing are advantageous but not mandatory. Working Hours: • Remote work with flexible timings. • Standard commitment of 20–25 hours per week is preferred. • Ability to meet project deadlines and coordinate with global teams if required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Understanding of testing methodologies such as black-box, white-box, and user acceptance testing. • Basic knowledge of tools like Selenium, JIRA, QTP, or LoadRunner is a plus. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative virtual environment. • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
