Solar Project ManagerEssential Duties and Responsibilities• Preconstruction & Planning• Lead preconstruction services by aligning with Owner's goals and project criteria. • Manage the full preconstruction process through contract execution (GMP or Lump Sum). • Negotiate Owner contracts, coordinate with design teams, and ensure compliance with MBE requirements. • Conduct site investigations, identify long-lead items, and promote partnering sessions with key stakeholders. • Develop bid packages, site utilization plans, and project schedules.• Conduct pre-bid conferences, evaluate subcontractor qualifications, and provide value-engineering recommendations. • Financial Management• Develop and maintain project financials, including GMP/Lump Sum contracts. • Monitor jobsite expenditures, cash flow, and revenue projections. • Analyze subcontractor financial stability and enforce company bonding and insurance policies. • Prepare and process monthly Owner requisitions and manage the change order process. • Project Execution• Mobilize project operations by reviewing scopes of work, budgets, and purchasing schedules.• Secure insurance, bonds, permits, and subcontract agreements. • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource-loaded and look-ahead schedules. • Oversee jobsite staffing, enforce company policies, and mentor project teams to ensure performance and morale. • Administer document control, RFI processes, and monthly reporting. • Implement crisis management plans, safety protocols, and quality control programs. • Manage subcontractor coordination, trade preconstruction meetings, inspections, and field operations.• Ensure daily site cleanliness, equipment management, and compliance with safety standards. • Client & Stakeholder Relations• Serve as primary liaison with the Owner, A/E team, subcontractors, and vendors. • Promote positive client relations through regular interaction, responsiveness, and participation in client initiatives. • Ensure compliance with client requirements throughout all phases of construction. • Project Closeout• Manage project turnover and closeout processes, including warranties, attic stock transfer, and subcontractor demobilization.• Collect final payments, close out contracts, and oversee post-construction services. • Professional Development & Representation• Represent the company in industry organizations, recruiting activities, and corporate events. • Participate in training programs, continuing education, and industry seminars. • Support company initiatives, task teams, and corporate programs as assigned. Education and Experience• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum of 4+ years of Project Management experience in Solar/EPC construction.• Proven expertise in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. • Strong knowledge of construction project management software and reporting tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders. • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in coaching, mentoring, and team building. • Thorough understanding of safety, quality control, and compliance requirements within solar construction. ewi is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.ewi is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
