Special Investigative Unit (SIU) Investigator (Remote Role)
Job OverviewThe SIU Investigator is responsible for conducting detailed investigations into potential fraud, waste, and abuse within healthcare operations. This role analyzes internal and external data, performs audits, conducts interviews, and prepares comprehensive investigative reports. The Investigator works with regulatory agencies and law enforcement, identifies trends through data mining, ensures compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, and manages a caseload independently. Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills are essential.Duties• Conduct in-depth investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, security violations, or misconduct. • Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify patterns or anomalies indicative of fraud or security threats. • Perform surveillance operations to monitor individuals or activities of interest while ensuring compliance with legal standards. • Prepare detailed reports documenting investigation findings, evidence collected, and recommended actions. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, legal teams, and internal departments to coordinate investigative efforts.• Utilize research techniques to gather intelligence on subjects under investigation. • Assist in developing strategies for fraud prevention and detection based on investigative insights. • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and organizational policies throughout all investigative processes.
