Staff Accountant | Mostly Remote - Must be based in Middle Tennessee | $70k

Job DescriptionOverviewOur ideal Staff Accountant is a highly skilled, detail-oriented person who excels at multitasking. This person will act as a point of contact between the different parts of the organization, including accounting/finance, treasury, operations and external parties, such as vendors/auditors. This role may handle or assist in a range of tasks to include accounting, preparing financial reports, budgeting/forecasting, audits and compliance. For this role, one must be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.Responsibilities:? Preparation of financial statements via the month-end close process? Enters & reconciles cash transactions, prepaids, and fixed assets? Involved in all aspects of the AP process including vendor set-up, transaction processing, and reconciliation? Maintaining accurate records and accounting reconciliations? Assisting with preparation of internal reporting packages? Serving as coordinator for departmental special projects (i.e., ERP implementation, control implementation/compliance, etc.)?Assisting with forecasts and budget projects? Supporting management with any needed ad hoc analysisRequiredQualifications:? Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Accounting? Sense of urgency and deadline orientation? Excellent MS Office and Google Suite proficiency? High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking? Demonstration of critical thinking and problem solving skills? Outstanding organizational and time management skills? Excellent verbal and written communications skills?Discretion and confidentialityPreferredQualifications:? CPA License, or able to sit for the CPA examPhysical Demands:? Must be able to sit or stand intermittently for the duration of a shift (8-12 hours)?
