Your work will extend far beyond implementation, as you'll shape the foundation of 1Password's Rails engineering practices. Collaborating in our remote-first environment, you'll have the autonomy to lead impactful projects while mentoring and inspiring engineers across the organization. In this critical role, you'll work on a key product that's central to 1Password's vision of a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, with the opportunity to make an impact at both the product and company-wide level.This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US. You will be expected to be fully remote, with periodic travel to meet up with your team and leaders for on-sites.What we're looking for:7+ years of experience building and scaling complex SaaS platforms with Ruby on Rails, with a proven track record of leading technical initiatives and delivering impactful results.Deep expertise in database architecture and optimization, with the ability to design and implement scalable data solutions that meet the demands of a growing global user base.Expertise with modern Rails front-end tech, including Stimulus and Turbo.A strong communicator, who can convey technical details clearly, both in documentation and when interacting with customers or less technical colleagues.Experience building and scaling applications, particularly with a focus on performance and reliability.You understand how to diagnose bottlenecks and resolve scalability challenges.Drive projects to successful completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and deliverables through hands-on leadership and building strong relationships across partners throughout the company.Lead and support senior engineers through solving some of the hardest problems at 1Password.
