This position routinely communicates with internal and external staff. This position participates in the coordination and monitoring of program improvement plans, identifies trends and patterns, and communicates quality assurance results to internal and external stakeholders. This position assists in analyzing data, reviewing policy, and preparing routine and ad hoc reports and reviews for stakeholders.This position participates in exigent projects requiring the capacity to quickly adjust priorities and workload, attention to detail, and timely productivity. This position works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job Functions (EJFs):• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. • Performs random evaluations of SWI staff. • Handles concerns from DFPS field staff, DFPS OCA, and external stakeholders, ensuring SWI compliance with policy and procedures.• Conducts policy research and may assist in reviewing policies and procedures. • Participates in producing management and productivity reports and studies and the collection and analysis of data. • Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program areas and of principles and practices of public administration and management. • Skill in effective verbal and written communication, including the ability to present information to internal and external stakeholders.• Skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships both internally and externally. • Skill in problem solving. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities. • Ability to write with brevity and clarity. • Ability to analyze data to determine trends and patterns. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications:N/AInitial Screening Criteria:Current SWI Intake Specialist III OR above, or at least 3 years of previous SWI or Protective Services Quality Assurance experience.Additional Information:This position is headquartered in Austin but may be filled anywhere within the State of Texas.
