System Engineer (Remote within the JFG footprint, Wisconsin)
About the positionResponsibilities• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and assistance to users experiencing issues with business systems with a focus on application support & troubleshooting. • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for automation and provide users with documentation and resources to self help. • Provide consultative technical guidance to line of business and project managers as it relates to scoping, design, installation and configuration of assigned technologies. • Oversee day-to-day operation of technical environments which includes change, release, performance and availability management.• Coordinate with vendors, IT staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment for selected solutions. • Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during application outages or periods of reduced performance. • Capacity planning. • Oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of software. • Maintain documentation of assigned technologies, configurations, processes, and procedures. • Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations effectively. • Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.• Configure software to meet organizational requirements and ensure integration with existing systems. • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with vendor agreements. Requirements• Five years of system engineer experience is highly desired. • Ability to assess new technologies and see appropriate fit with JFG. • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but will consider those with 8+ years of IT experience as an acceptable alternative. • Proficiency in software evaluation and selection processes. • Experience with software configuration and integration.• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development life cycle. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Nice-to-haves• Experience with enterprise-level software solutions. • Familiarity with cloud-based software and services. • Expertise with Enterprise content management systems (OnBase), MS M365 Admin, EFT/SFTP file transmission.• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users. • Familiarity with Financial Institution solutions.
